How to Reach ??

You can directly reach Pondicherry by flight but this can be a little expensive. The other way is to reach Chennai airport and then take a cab which costs around 2500 from Chennai Airport to White Town. For a budget trip you can also book a bus from Chennai which costs around 500 to 800 rs per person Plus point of reaching Chennai is you can have an amazing breakfast at Saravana Bhavan and you can also visit Mahabalipuram on the way.

Where to Stay?

Staying is very cheap in Pondicherry. I just booked a place from OYO called Ravi Krishna which is in the city center and charges 1000 rs per night excluding breakfast which was a decent and clean place to stay. You can also find small homestays and guest houses over there. Who needs a breakfast inclusive when there are a lot of good restaurants to explore?
